I love this book. When I was a wee lad, long before I'd read any of the other Middle-Earth books or seen anything other than the '77 Rankin Bass rendition of The Hobbit, my father gifted me a first printing copy. I was immediately captivated by its opening chapters, and I've never been quite the same since.↩
